Author: Spoon This, along with the Atomic Disc damper is my first alloy purchase for any of my mini-z's. I am no stranger to hop-ups and tuning, I just never got into the alloy parts.
Installation:
It's one of the easier parts that I have installed on a Mini-z. There were no instructions, but there are only 3 pieces and several screws. It doesn't take very long to figure out how it all goes together.
One thing worth noting is that you must have a motor with holes. I drilled an x-speed which was a bit of a pain. If you have a motor you like, I would just get a BB drilled can and put all of the parts inside.
You also have to be careful how you route the wires. There isn't much spare room in the F1so you'll have to pay attention to how everything lays down. There are no major modifications required here, just make sure everything is tucked out of the way.
Performance:
With the open design the motor stays very cool. It is also very easy to adjust the Atomic damper by loosening a single screw, sliding the arm up or down then tightening the screw. The one thing that I am having a little bit of trouble with is how low the car sits. After drilling the motor case I think the X-speed might be dragging just a bit. I am going to try an Atomic can and see if it makes a difference.
Overall, I think it's a solid product. It's a little pricey but if you want the DPS damper you have to have it. I love the fact that I can access the motor without taking apart the motor case (and roll-pitch damper if you have it). I like to run drops on my motors and there was really no way to get to the motor with the old case.

For all reading this I will get to my point. Definitely buy here. Now I will go into more detail as to why.
