Author: Brian Ma (color01) Very sticky tire. Thanks to the treaded design they have more absolute traction than the 6 degree slicks, but I felt that breakaway characteristics were slightly more abrupt. If you keep this tire within its traction envelope you can change the front end setup for lots more steering.
Tire wear is [understandably] faster than the slicks; after a few hours the outer edge of the tread is beginning to show wear.
The sidewall on these treaded tires is thicker and stiffer than those of the 6 degree slicks, so surprisingly these tires don't absolutely HAVE to be glued to be useful (they still perform better glued though).
One last note, the set I received did not have an even tire profile -- the outer edges are raised vs. the center rib of the tread. It will take some more tire wear before I finally get the tire to sit flat on the track. This may limit the tire's useful life in a race situation.
Great news - we're back! You may have noticed that the shop took an unexpected vacation last week. Some technical difficulties left us out in the last cold week of winter, but Spring is here, and we're back up and running! :)
Speaking of Spring, our Winter Savings are now on borrowed time! They're all laid out for you on the homepage, so take a moment to scroll down and save!
There is of course new too, including the Kyosho Mini-Z MA-020VE PRO SP RC Chassis Set (2.4GHz ASF). This base chassis is optimized with special racing specifications, including a motor cooling system. Loaded with the same lightning fast 8500KV XSpeed VE brushless motor
power source as the MA-020VE PRO, the SP Chassis Set is also equipped
with an aluminum motor sleeve and motor cover to control heat and
extract every drop of power from the brushless motor.
Always impressed with the speed of shipping, even around the holidays.
The shop found me the Autoscale that I wanted, and shipped everything super fast. Prices are exceptional, and service is first rate. That's why I highly recommend everyone shop here.
